I bet I am more shy than you!
a lot of people at gs are shy
I'm very shy too, I don't speak much and I like the conformity of saying everything I think while hiding behind a screen. But it's not good, I've lost many opportunities because of that.

Grow a backbown, take chances, realize that those who dislike you are irrelavent, but the more people that DO like you, the better your life can be, etc.
I had the same problem, just try to be more asertive. a few people may think your a jack ass, and in my case rightly so.
You have no idea how shy I am.
I bet there are lurkers who won't post because of how shy they are. So, you have a step up on them I guess... *This post contains little to no advice, I have no Idea what to tell you. Seeing as I am pretty shy in real life as well.*
Bet I could give you a run for your money. I Wish I wasn't so shy.

 I was once too shy to post.. it would also go on those chat rooms, type a message, but I would never post it. I would just erase it, and then the whole process would start all over again a few minutes later.

It's very sad.
Find a circle of people you're comfortable with and shyness disappears.
I doubt you're the shyest person i have seen.. i think i am but than again i doubt i am.
Get off the Xbox and get out there Soldier!!

There is nothing wrong with it, except you live in a culture that values extroverts and looks down on introverts. It's really a shame, but just reject cultural identities and be yourself.
I'm very shy as well. I can go days without saying a word at school. I mostly just talk to my friends and parents, and even then I'm fairly quiet. I'm just a very introverted person. There's really nothing wrong with it, unless it hinders your life and you're truly unable to speak to people, and I'm kind of getting to that point. You just have to gain some confidence and become more assertive. It's hard, I know, but I'm sure it's worth it.
