For me. I think Muse would take the top of my list, they just sound freakin awesome and their lyrics are great and meaningful... favorite lyrics from Knights of Cydonia.. ''Dont waste time or time will waste you''Super Massive Blackholes is kickass song too ;)Most Creative/Unique Bands
Explosions in the Sky were pretty unique before everyone started ripping them off. Also Radiohead, I guess. Someone after me will probably give a really good reason. Most Creative/Unique Bands
woo, first to say radiohead.

Ha, I just got a laugh.
Red hot chili peppers.
Frank zappa, and Nick Cave and the bad seeds. They are true unique bands, Nick Cave is musical genius.

Thanks guys. Now I don't have to write 3+ pages worth about these two bands. :)

Slipknot of course, theres 9 guys in the band all wearing these awesome masks.
Opeth,Muse,Rush and Radiohead.
As far as unique goes i would classify Sunn0))) as the most unique.
Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails are both great bands that manage to change their sound often and remain unique.

Alot of the bands mentioned are good and creative, but I wouldnt call alot of them unique.
Slipknot of course, theres 9 guys in the band all wearing these awesome masks.
Lol...good one. I agree with Film-Guy on Frank Zappa. I'd also like to add The Beatles. They contributed a little something to nearly every genre and they were highly creative. I'm sure that's a pretty standard answer, but I believe in it.

The only real creative and unique beatles album to me is Revolver.
Wow, I don't know how I forgot to mention The Velvet Underground in my first post.It doesn't get more creative/unique than avant-garde madness.
Seems like most have misinterpreted what the thread is actually asking. There's a big difference between your favorite band and the most unique band. As for me, I'd say Mindless Self Indulgence. They're a mix of electronic and punk. There is a guy called Jimmy Urine in that band.
I'd have to go with NIN. Try Pretty Hate Machine,Ghosts I-IV, Year Zero. Totally unique and different sounds.

This for Unique.
Behold...The Arctopus or The Boredoms for creativity.
[EDIT] Forgot to mention:
Einsturzende Neubauten
Merzbow
