How many of your friends have fallen prey to cigarettes?

A fair number of mine have, but they're not really people who I cared that much about if they really wanted to. This person today though.. It was so weird. I was just walking around my school, and I was passing the 'smoking area' where people go to smoke, (Although it's not allowed at our school,  smoking that is) with a friend and then I just looked at her and looked in to her eyes the second she was taking a drag, and her expression didn't change atall, and neither did mine but I was so.. Disappointed in her.I didn't think she would be the type to do it.. But then again I wouldn't have thought that of any of my other friends who have started smoking in the first place.I guess I just have to lower my expectations of people. How many of your friends have fallen prey to cigarettes?

None of my close friends have, but a few of my loose acquaintances smoke pot.

I think it's sad. I mean, there no real benefits to smoking.
A lot of people, but I don't really care.
Its just a phase once she starts coughing up blood, she'll learn from her mistakes.

There is no benefit to the majority one does.
Why would you look down on someone who smoked?  Pot I understand, but not cigarettes.I've never smoked, btw
i smoke and so do all the people i hang with (friends or not).
Only one.He's a nice guy, but he smokes and he spits, and it's really nasty :(  He's great, but this smoking thing is holding me back from getting to know him better. It's hard to keep up a conversation when he stops to spit every minute. Why do smokers spit all the time anyway, or is it just him?

I have a friend who used to drink bleach to pass drug tests...
Some of my friends do, but I'm proud to be a non smoker!! :P

Smoking is not helping. I don't want to get in to an argument with you, Jandurin.. I just know I'll lose. :P That is, unless you are willing to have a serious discussion? :
|None of my friends smoke (that I know of)... But my mom smokes, and I know from living with it (and from having asthma) that smoking is the most disgusting habit I have ever known in my life. It really is. I can't wait until college next fall so I can move out and stop living in this ashtray. >_>

Well, a serious discussion would just end in, yes, cigarettes are bad. :|



Everyone knows it. But, they're not that bad unless you make a habit of it.
